Abstract : The article once again highlights the relevance of GERD, since despite treatment with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), symptoms persist in about half of the patients. The only radical treatment for the ineffectiveness of conservative GERD therapy is antireflux surgery. However, neither conservative treatment nor surgical intervention guarantees a complete cure for reflux esophagitis. The authors analyzed the results of diagnosis and treatment of 109 patients with peptic strictures of the esophagus of benign origin and came to the conclusion that during robot-assisted surgery, precision and careful technique of surgical intervention helps to reduce intraoperative complications.
