Abstract :

Li Jingwei is the first generation of medical history and philology experts trained by the new China. In 1958, he worshiped Chen Bangxian as his teacher and engaged in related scientific research work. He had many exchanges with Joseph Needham, a famous British historian of science and technology. In the 1980s, as a representative of the field of medical history research, Li Jingwei conducted academic exchanges with scholars from Thailand, Japan, Germany, the United States and other countries. He successively participated in the 1983 Thai Traditional Chinese Medicine Academic Exchange Conference, the 1984 American Association for the Advancement of Science 150th Anniversary Academic Conference, the 1985 Japanese Medical History Society 86th Academic Annual Conference, and the 1990 International Chinese Science and Technology History Academic Conference held in the UK, etc. Activities, and established a deep friendship with foreign scholars such as Man Xibo, Miyashita Saburo, Wu Yanhe.
