Abstract : This paper proposes a systematic review via the "PRISMA Statement" method on the subject of students' psychological needs at the level of higher education institutions. The implementation of this systematic review technique resulted in 23 empirical scientific articles published between 2006 and 2023, providing a direct and clear analysis of the various psychological needs of students. In this sense, a qualitative synthesis wasĖ established setting out the results of the studies accomplished and the study period. These identified studies deal with the identification of different needs in order to categorize them, or also a comparison between the effect of different needs on students' psychology, particularly the impact on their success. The present work traces, as it were, the evolution of scientific research on this subject, and possibly gives rise to future research perspectives.
